The staff were very friendly and the room comfortable. The hotel is in a good location for beautiful riverside walks.
We would have liked to use a computer but did not have a laptop with us.
A beautiful hotel, in a great setting, that was good value for money. The hearty breakfast included as part of the booking was most welcome.
Television reception was poor in the room. One of the members of staff was quite rude to us, although she was quickly disciplined by the manager, and the rest of the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
birnam hotel is in an excellent situation for walking and exploring the surrounding area. We parked the car when we arrived and did not use it again until we left 3 days later. There were plenty of local walks, eating places and the Cathedral all within easy distance.
The hotel had recently been renovated and had kept its character, Staff were friendly
There was no heating or telephone service, Staff did give a heater but this did not work
Comfortable hotel, there appears to be ongoing improvements being made. The food was very good and there is a modern friendly bar.
The TV is very small and we were unable to get more than a couple of channels.
The fact that we could eat casually in the Scotts Bar without having to go out and look for somewhere elso to eat. Very good.
Lovely welome, friendly staff, great food.
TV only had two channels.
overall a very pleasant stay, I would deffinately return at some point.
I don't think the kitchen was prepared for a very busy holiday weekend, they ran out of some foods. The wait for our meal on the Sunday night was a bit on the long side.
Comfortable, friendly hotel with lovely breakfast. Great location for countryside pursuits.
Bar meal menu was fine, however the same menu appeared in the restaurant rather than a more 'gourmet' choice. Television in room was not great.
Hotel Clean and Tidy. Friendlt Staff
Wi Fi not good enough. Only wotked in Bar area.
Staff friendly and efficient. Hotel interesting, clean and in a good location, evening meal good value and good breakfast.
No secure parking, noisy boiler in room 104.
the rooms were perfect to relax in after a day of walking. staff were very helpful and polite. rooms were clean, spacious.
nothing bad, just the tv only had bbc1 and 2 but wasnt really an issue as we were busy most of the time.
Good service. Food. Pleasant surroundings. A good venue for sight-seeing and walking. A lovely rural setting. Suitable for functions in their lovely baronial hall.
The room TV had only one channel.
It was a a very comfortable and relaxing hotel, with excellent service, friendly and attentive staff with excellent food
The tv in our room was old and only had two channels and really should have had at least freeview as a minimum for news services
lovely hotel ,very comfortable ,easy walking distance of other establishments, relaxed atmosphere
one member of management telling you one thing and the next day another telling you something completley different, and thats when you are trying to pay the bill,The food in the restuarant was very nice its just a pity it took two hours to arrive regardless of what poor excuses the glum waiter gave, a two hour wait is totally unexceptable,to make up for this wait we were given one prawn cocktail and two ramekins of crisps between six people.I would maybe stay in the hotel again but would certainley never eat a meal in it again....sort those problems out and you have a winner but for now you have a wooden spoon
